Probably the best discovery in a long while: the Nigerian archives has a website. Details, including a list of the holdings, on each of the regional offices are here, here and here.

This is really good!

    HHmmm, this is a good development. There is an American blogger who is working on a PHD that involves Nigerian property/real estate history (if I recall correctly). I wonder if he knows about this. Off to try and remember his blog name…
