Bono on Obama’s Trip to Ghana

Holocaust: The Ignored Reality

A nice take on Googles proposed Chrome OS. Largely agree with it.

A review of Sacha Baron Cohen’s Bruno. See also this and this. (Both from Der Spiegel.)

On lingua franca and Nigerian pidgin English. (See the comments.)

My friend Kola discusses Nigerian pidgin English

As usual great picks. I am really curious about Brüno. And I think title of Bono’s piece is a subtle message for Nigeria and Aunty Dora. This line from the piece

Quietly, modestly — but also heroically — Ghana’s going about the business of rebranding a continent. New face of America, meet the new face of Africa
says it all. Wohnst Du tatsächlich in Deutschland?

Thanks Marin. I too am curious about Brüno and I’ll find time to see it. The funny thing is that I actually only saw snatches from Borat. Maybe I will start with that.

Bono’s piece, plus the AllAfrica.com interview shows the importance of Ghana. (Did you read/see it?) The good thing is that it is not just a hype. At least not right now.

    Ja, ich wohne in Deutschland.
